Careful kids, this one will kick your ass.
Berry-Pop Margarita
- 1 1/2 oz anejo tequila (Cazadores or Tres Generation are good choices)
- 1 oz Grand Marnier
- 1 oz Citronge or Cointreau
- 4 oz sweet and sour
- 2 scoops berries
Combine ingredients with ice and blend on high. Makes one Big Ass Margarita, so take a cab.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!

How important is the mask to the drink’s success?
It can be done without it. A sombrero would be an acceptable substitute.
We rocked the sombreros and fake mustaches this weekend. It was a lot of fun until the sun came up and then it dawned on us how hungover we were going to be. Ouch.
Oh dear. Hell hath no fury like a tequila hangover. May you recover quickly.
Haha looks delicious!
I’ll have to test-drive that at a different Cinco de Mayo. But I have a good reason: I was with Brett
in a town between us, and we went out to what locals told us was the best Mexican restaurant in town for dinner and some (very good) regular-style margaritas.
All I can say to that is, awwwwwwwwww!
They WERE good margaritas.
